Private Sector PAIA Manual Submission
There were some concerns with regards to the notice for submission of these manuals by the 31 Dec 2011. BASA has been in contact with the organisation and they have informed us that this is extended till December 2015. We will send out more details closer to the time and a template for this manual will be issued. Please see the information from the sahrc website.
The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development has extended the exemption which was to have lapsed on the 31st of December 2011. Private companies within certain sectors are now exempted from compiling and submitting information manuals in terms of section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act to the South African Human Rights Commission until the 31st of December 2015.
